DAY 1 | Thursday Jun. 22, 2017 | Toronto—Newfoundland (D)

We depart Kingston by coach this morning for Toronto airport and our Air Canada flight to Deer Lake on the West Coast of Newfoundland. We transfer to Gros Morne National Park, an area declared by the United Nations as the newest World Heritage Site. Tonight you will enjoy a welcome dinner and have an opportunity to learn more about the adventure ahead.

DAY 2 | Friday Jun. 23, 2017 | Newfoundland (B, L)

This morning we take a boat tour across beautiful Bonne Bay to Woody Point. The trip offers spectacular views of the park’s vistas as well as the Tableland Mountains. Once in Woody Point we have some time to explore the little town, visit the park’s Discovery Centre and have a little stroll in one of the Tableland’s valleys.

DAY 3 | Saturday Jun. 24, 2017 | Newfoundland (B, L)

This morning we start our trek eastward, geographically leaving North America and crossing onto the Oceanic/European plate. A beautiful harbor provides the perfect backdrop for our lunch and an eventful morning of whale interpretation and pottery exhibits. This afternoon we visit the pretty community of Lewisporte.

DAY 4 | Sunday Jun. 25, 2017 | Newfoundland (B, L)

Today we are off on the “Road to the Isles”, travelling across "Tickles and Runs" to spend time on beautiful Twillingate Island. This is one of Newfoundland's oldest and most interesting fishing communities. We visit the lighthouse at Crow Head, the Auk Island Winery and the Beothuck Centre in Boyd’s Cove.

DAY 5 | Monday Jun. 26, 2017 | Newfoundland (B, L)

This morning we will visit the fishing community of Salvage. This is a great iceberg viewing area. Then to Terra Nova National Park to view the vistas of Newman Sound and to visit the park’s Marine Interpretation Center. We then travel to the southern edge of the Park and our hotel for the evening.

DAY 6 | Tuesday Jun. 27, 2017 | Newfoundland (B, L, D)

This morning we travel to the historic village of Trinity, one of the oldest communities in North America, the gem of the Island. Here we learn about the Poole fish merchants who established this fishing station. Next we are off to Bonavista, the landfall of John Cabot in 1497. This afternoon we visit Cape Bonavista for a chance to walk the cliffs and enjoy the spectacular coastal scenery.

DAY 7 | Wednesday Jun. 28, 2017 | Newfoundland (B, L)

Today we travel to Bay Bulls. From here we take a boat trip to the Witless Bay Ecological Reserve where we view thousands of Atlantic Puffins, Murres and other seabirds that nest here in the summer. Also home to many Humpback, Minke, and Fin whales in the summer months so whale sightings are a definite possibility. Before heading into St. John's we visit Cape Spear National Historic Park, the most easterly point of land in North America.

DAY 8 | Thursday Jun. 29, 2017 | Newfoundland (B, D)

This morning we will tour historic highlights of St. John's, the oldest city in North America. This afternoon is left free. This evening we share our farewell dinner.

DAY 9 | Friday Jun. 30, 2017 | Newfoundland—Toronto (B)

All good things must come to an end and so we bid a fond farewell to our newest yet oldest Province.We fly homeward with many delightful memories of an authentic Newfoundland experience that will be recalled for years to come. Upon arrival in Toronto our private coach will transfer us to Kingston.
