VISA REQUIREMENTS FOR CANADIANS +

A valid passport is required to enter the country as well as a visa. The passport must be valid for at least six months beyond the date of your expected departure from the country. Travellers should check with the Embassy of the Russian Federation and its consulates for up-to-date information.

CLIMATE +

• Moscow is known for its long winters (Nov to March) and hot, humid summers (June to August)
• Moscow weather in winter can be extreme; daily low temperatures of -10ºC or lower are not uncommon
• Average summer temperatures are 23ºC but temperatures can be much higher when heat waves roll in.

WHEN TO GO +

The best time to visit Eastern Europe is in September with less tourists and crowds.
