The national currency of Mongolia is the Tugrik. As of July, 2015: 1 CND = 1543.35 MNT.

Visa is widely accepted in Mongolia while MasterCard is becoming increasingly accepted. ATMs are also available in major centres. Talk to your Adventure Specialist for recommendations.

The official language of Mongolia is Mongolian.

The population of Mongolia is 2.89 population as of 2013.

VISA REQUIREMENTS FOR CANADIANS +

Canadians must present a passport to visit Mongolia, which must be valid for at least six months beyond the date of expected departure from that country. Tourist visas are not required if your stay does not exceed 30 days. Travelers should check with the Embassy of Mongolia or one of its consulates for up-to-date information.

CLIMATE +

• Rainy season from mid-July to mid-September.
• Dust storms are known to occur between May and June.
• Mongolia`s winters can get as cold as minus 40 degrees Celsius and the summers can reach 35 degrees Celsius.

WHEN TO GO +

The best time to travel to Mongolia is between May and August when the weather is most favorable.
