A valid passport is required to enter Kenya, and tourist visa is necessary. The passport must be valid for at least six months beyond the date of your expected departure from the country. Travellers should check with the High Commission for the Republic of Kenya and the High Commissionfor up-to-date information.
• Unpredictable climate, however the main seasons are from Jan-Mar when it is both hot and dry and April to June when it's hot and wet (with "long rains")
• During the "long rains" wildlife is harder to spot and mosquitoes are prominent, a combination that keeps most tourists away
• From July to Oct it is warm and dry and from Nov-Dec it is warm and wet (the "short rains")
Kenya's tourist season is in Jan and Feb, when the weather is hot and dry and it's much easier to spot animals in the wildlife parks. Another good time to visit is during the annual wildebeest migration from June to Oct with thousands of animals running into the Masai Mara National Reserve from the Serengeti.
