• Diverse range of climate across the country
• Southern Australia (Tasmania, New South Wales and Victoria) has cold winters between June August, summers (December to February) are pleasant and warm. Spring (September to November) and autumn (March to May) are very similar to the climate in Canada
• Northern Australia (Darwin and Cairns) has two seasons: hot and wet, and hot and dry. The dry takes place from April to September, and the wet from October to March; from early October is when the humidity is at its peak
• Central Australia (Lower parts of Western Australia, Northern Territory and Queensland, North part of South Australia) is hot and dry during the day, but bitter cold at night.
Australia is best to visit outside of the winter season between June to August, when temperatures drop with the latitude. However the following states can be enjoyed anytime of the year: the Northern Territory, Queensland and the top of Western Australia.
